Et in Arcadia Tango: In Rome on a cold but bright Sunday morning we walked in the Borghese Gardens. Nearing the Temple of Asclepius we could hear a lonely clarinet playing an Argentine tango. He turned out to be playing for a dancing couple in autumn outdoor clothes. Just one of those movie moments.
‘Et in Arcadia Ego’ is the title of a Poussin painting, also used by Nietzsche in ‘Human, All too Human’ and book one of ‘Brideshead Revisited’
