There is something about this which echoes the violin case used to carry a sub-machine gun in black & white Hoodlum Movies.
Although the box is lined with a musical score is it about playing or facing the music?
The score is my annotated copy of Bertolt Brecht/Kurt Weill's Three Penny Opera which is part of an earlier diversion singing Macheath
